Christian Education

St. Paul has chosen to use the Feasting on the Word curriculum for adults education.

Pre-School through High School are using a new format developed by our church called “Bible Learning and Doing”.

What Is Feasting on the Word Curriculum?

St. Paul launched Feasting on the Word Curriculum: Teaching the Revised Common Lectionary in the Fall 2011 season. This curriculum is an ecumenical resource that incorporates the uniqueness of the award-winning Feasting on the Word commentaries. This curriculum also incorporates the Feasting on the Word commentary style to explore one of the lectionary passages in ways suitable for all participants.

FeastingAdultAdults see the world through the filter of life experience and life transitions. Adults enter Bible study and worship bringing with them this variety of views. Feasting on the Word materials will engage adults in a deeper exploration of biblical texts. Participants’ faith will be enhanced when the Scriptures read and proclaimed in worship are reinforced and expanded during their educational time. Education and worship can be mutually supportive in helping God’s Word in Scripture come alive in the Sunday morning experience.

Pre-school through High School

We are in our second year of teaching a special curriculum : Bible Learning and Doing. This is written by a committee of 4, 3 church members and our pastor.

This  allows us to support the various interest of our youth to keep them actively involved in God’s Word.  We take on various projects to keep our youth involved in worship and get hand on (Doing) experience with the lessons (Learning) from class.
